Sphagnum Substrate is a versatile medium for keeping various arthropods, thanks to its excellent water-retaining properties. It helps retain moisture for extended periods, contributing to a stable and humid environment.

It is particularly useful for adult beetles during inactive periods, when maintaining appropriate humidity is important. It can also be used for keeping isopods (Isopoda) and millipedes (Diplopoda), combined with other substrates.

When properly hydrated, Sphagnum Substrate provides a natural and easy-to-use medium while helping slow down the drying of the enclosure.
